In accordance with its 2018 Annual Work Plan and within the framework of Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised the Statistics Course on ‘Dissemination and Data Warehousing’ at the Central Statistical Organization (CSO) of Republic of Iraq on 25-27 September 2018.

Mr. Haitham Husni Zidan Zidan, Department Director of Data Dissemination and Documentation at the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), conducted the Statistics Course with the participation of 35 officials of CSO of Republic of Iraq.

The Course included discussion activities with a focus on the following topics:

• Data Categories in Websites
• Dissemination Methods and Displaying Statistical Indicators (with cases from PCBS)
• Using Latest Technologies (Interactive Techniques, Data Visualization, Infographic) in Dissemination Process (with cases from PCBS)
• Disseminate Publications and Press Releases based on best Practices
• Statistical Calendar and Proactive Dissemination (with cases from PCBS)
• Metadata and Microdata and the International Standards
• Micro Data Usage (with cases from PCBS) 8. Dissemination of SDGs Indicators
• Dissemination policy based on International Standards
• Communicating with the Media and Communication Strategy
• Data Warehousing: Concepts, Goals and Objectives
• Centralized Statistical Indicators Systems (Data warehousing) (with cases from PCBS)
• Data Mining and Business Intelligence
• Dissemination of Statistics as Open Data (with cases from PCBS)
