Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC, in collaboration with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT), organised a Training Course on “Statistical Business Registers” on 1-2 April 2024 through an online video conferencing platform.

The training was attended by 73 experts from the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) and relevant Ministries of 22 OIC Member Countries.

Mr. Can Doğan, Head of the Business Registers Department at TURKSTAT, provided the training course. The course covered the following topics:

• Use of Administrative Sources in Statistical Business Registers
• Statistical Units and Variables
• Overview of the Turkish SBR System
• Statistical Business Registers Quality
• Exploring Future Studies in Statistical Business Registers
