H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Anar KARIMOV, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, on the sidelines of the Azerbaijan Halal Business (AZHAB) Forum, which took place in Baku on 8-9 October 2024.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between SESRIC and the Ministry, particularly on matters related to employment, occupational safety and health, social security, and other relevant areas. H.E. SELÇUK outlined SESRIC’s initiatives in the fields of Labour and Social Protection, including the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET), OIC Occupational Safety and Health Network (OIC-OSHNET), and other capacity building activities and initiatives

H.E. KARIMOV on his side underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation among OIC countries in the field of labour to overcome common challenges and promote regional development, as well as the Ministry’s commitment to collaborate with SESRIC and explore opportunities for joint initiatives.
