Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Statistical Training Course on “Balance of Payments and International Investment Position” on 26–27 August 2025. The course brought together statisticians and experts from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics and other national authorities of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Senior experts from BPS-Statistics Indonesia, namely Mr. Hadi Susanto, Mrs. Hana Dwi Kristanti, Mrs. Fatma Yuliana, and Mrs. Mutia Anggraini, conducted the training course by covering the following topics:

• Overview of Balance of Payments
• Current Account Analysis
• Capital and Financial Accounts
• International Investment Position (IIP) and Policy Implications
• Understanding International Investment Position (IIP)
• Data Sources and Methodologies
• Policy Implications and Future Trends
