Within the framework of the Digital Transformation Capacity Building Programme (Digi-CaB) and Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with DOST Digital Innovations Centre under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organised a Webinar on “Digital Innovation in Social Protection & Employment” on 5 October 2026.
The webinar brought together 142 representatives from relevant national institutions from 35 OIC member countries and featured insightful presentations from representatives of the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), Social Security Organisation (PERKESO), Malaysia, as well as the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia.
The webinar was aimed at sharing experiences, innovative practices, and policy approaches related to digital social registries, integrated beneficiary databases, labour market and employment digital systems, and data interoperability and governance frameworks. The participants found the opportunity for peer learning and knowledge exchange on how digital technologies can contribute to more inclusive, efficient, and resilient social protection and employment systems.
