SESRIC hosted the “Sixth Meeting of the Monitoring and Advisory Committee (MAC) of the OIC-VET Programme: Implementation Plan of the OIC-TVET Strategic Roadmap 2020-2025” on 19-20 December 2019 in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey.

Within the framework of the OIC Cotton Training Programme (OIC-CTP) SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Myth of GM Technology to Combat Pest Losses of Cotton” on 17-19 December 2019, in Kampala, the Republic of Uganda.

The 7^th Session of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers (ICHM) was held on 15-17 December 2019 in Abu Dhabi, State of United Arab Emirates. The Conference was organized by the General Secretariat of the OIC and hosted by the Ministry of Health and Prevention of the State of United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ministers responsible for health and prevention from the OIC member countries along with the representatives from the relevant OIC Institutions and international organisations participated in the Conference. SESRIC attended the Conference with a delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Nebil DABUR, Director General.

Within the framework of the OIC Tourism Capacity Building Programme (Tr-CaB), SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Halal Tourism” on 10-12 December 2019 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, for the benefit of experts from the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.

SESRIC organised on-the-job training course on “Technology Incubation and Transfer” between 9 December 2019 and 01 February 2020 in Kocaeli, Turkey. The training was implemented as the second phase of the capacity building component of the Reverse Linkage Project between Sudan and Turkey on “Capacity Development of the Africa City of Technology (ACT)”.

The OIC High-Level Public and Private Investment Conference under the theme of “Unleashing Intra-OIC Investment Opportunities: Investment for Solidarity and Development” was organised on 8-9 December 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey in collaboration with the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Investment Office, OIC General Secretariat, and Islamic Development Bank Group. SESRIC participated in the Conference with a delegation headed by H.E. Mr Nebil DABUR, Director General of SESRIC .

The 1^st Session of OIC Ministerial Conference on Social Development was held on 7-9 December 2019 in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey. The Conference was organized by the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The Conference brought together Ministers responsible for Social Affairs and Development from OIC member countries alongside representatives of several OIC institutions and international organizations. SESRIC was represented by H.E. Mr. Nebil DABUR, Director General thereat.

The 5^th Session of the Annual Coordination Meeting of OIC Institutions (ACMOI) took place on 04-05 December 2019 at the Headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 19 OIC Institutions and Standing Committees attended the meeting.

SESRIC participated in the 3rd Meeting of the Subgroup on Gender Statistics Training (SGGST) organised by the UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific on 4-6 December 2019 in Tokyo, Japan.

SESRIC, in partnership with the Libyan Programme for Reintegration and Development (LPRD) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), organised an inauguration ceremony for the Bina Incubator on 28 November 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey.

SESRIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic Organisation For Food Security (IOFS) to strengthen the collaboration and partnership in areas of food security, agriculture, and rural development.

SESRIC organized a training course for OIC Junior Diplomats on 26-28 November 2019, in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey. The training course marked the third iteration of the training program for OIC Junior Diplomats from OIC Member States, which SESRIC launched in 2017. This year’s training course was organized in partnership with the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and carried the theme “Conflict Resolution and Mediation”. A total of 34 junior diplomats from 28 OIC Member States benefited from the training that was delivered by four outstanding practitioners and world renowned trainers in the field of conflict resolution and mediation.

The 35^th Ministerial Session of the COMCEC, which was held on 27-28 November 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey, welcomed the OIC-TVET Strategic Roadmap 2020-2025, and requested SESRIC to monitor the implementation of the Roadmap within the framework of the OIC-VET Programme.

SESRIC, International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) and Istanbul School of Central Banking (ISCB) jointly organised a Training Workshop on Islamic Banking and Finance for the representatives of the CIS Countries Central Banks and Afghanistan on 25-28 November 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The 35^th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) took place on 25-28 November 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey. High-level representatives from the Member and Observer States of the OIC, relevant OIC institutions, as well as other international organizations attended the session. The SESRIC participated in the Session with a delegation headed by H.E. Mr Nebil DABUR, the Director General of SESRIC.

Within the framework of The Capacity Building Programme for Multilateral Trading Systems (MTS-CaB), SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Facilitating Transit Trade with an Emphasis on WTO TFA” on 20 - 22 November 2019, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Trade of The Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy of Morocco.

SESRIC in collaboration with the OIC Representative Office to the State of Palestine, Ministry of Local Government and the Municipal Lending Fund in the State of Palestine, organized a training course on “Local Economic Development” in Ramallah on 20-21 November 2019. The training was provided by two competent experts from Jordan and Turkey.

The Brainstorming Meeting of OIC-15 Dialogue Platform was organized by the Government of Kazakhstan in coordination with the OIC General Secretariat and COMSTECH on 19 November 2019 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The Meeting was attended by delegates of 26 OIC countries and representatives of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, OIC General Secretariat, COMSTECH, IOFS, and SESRIC.

SESRIC participated in the ‘Development Workshop of ASEAN OSHNET Work Plan 2021-2025’ that was held in Bali, Indonesia on 13-14 November 2019. The workshop was hosted by the Directorate General of Labour Inspection and OSH Development under the Ministry of Manpower of Indonesia.

The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in partnership with the Central Bank of Indonesia and the Islamic Development Bank organized the OIC Forum on Islamic Social Finance in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 12-13 November 2019.
