Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Study Visit on “Geospatial Data” on 4-5 November 2025 in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye, for the benefit of two delegates from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

SESRIC co-organised a Solutions Session titled “Digital Pathways to Formalization in the Social and Solidarity Economy: Accelerating Social Inclusion and Accessibility”, with the League of Arab States, on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2), on 4 November 2025 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) in Doha.

SESRIC, as the Executing Organ of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-VET), hosted a series of OIC-VET Consultative Meetings to develop the ten-year OIC TVET Strategic Roadmap 2026-2035.

SESRIC presented the OIC Economic Outlook 2025 during the Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of the 41^st Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), held on 1 November 2025 in Istanbul.

The 41^st Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) was held in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye. High-level representatives from the member and observer countries of the OIC, as well as from relevant OIC institutions and other international organisations, attended the Session. SESRIC participated in the Session with a delegation led by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK presented the 2025 edition of the report titled “Towards the Achievement of Prioritised Sustainable Development Goals in OIC Countries” during the Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of the 41^st Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), held on 1 November 2025 in Istanbul.

SESRIC participated in the Training on “Big Data and Data Science for Gender Statistics in Asia and the Pacific”, held on 27 –30 October 2025 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand.

A SESRIC delegation participated in the First Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Agreement on Promotion, Protection and Guarantee of Investments among the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held on 26-28 October 2025 at the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

SESRIC, as the Secretariat of the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET), in collaboration with the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills of Morocco (ANAPEC), as the Chair of the Network, organised the Annual Meeting of the National Focal Points (NFPs) of the OIC-PESNET on 23 October 2025.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK addressed the 5^th Session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers Responsible for Water (ICMW), held on 20–21 October 2025 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

SESRIC, in its capacity as the Secretariat of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom) and in line with the relevant resolution of its 13^th Session of OIC-StatCom, organised a Workshop on “Safeguarding Data in Crises” on 22-23 October 2025, in collaboration with the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).

SESRIC participated in the Second General Assembly and Steering Group (SG) Meetings as well as the first Statistical Working Group (SWG) Meeting of the International Forum on TOSSD (IFT) held on 21-24 October 2025 in a hybrid format, hosted by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation in Madrid, Spain.

SESRIC participated in the 47^th Meeting of the Sessional Committee of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC). The meeting aimed to review and coordinate the contributions of OIC institutions to the implementation of the COMCEC Strategy and its Ministerial Policy Recommendations.

Within the framework of the Poverty Alleviation Capacity Building Programme (PA-CaB), and in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), SESRIC organised a Workshop on “Utilization of Innovation and Technology for Accelerating the Eradication of Poverty” on 21-22 October 2025.

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) Working Plan 2024-2026 and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Establishment and Operationalisation of National Labour Market Observatories” on 21-22 October 2025.

SESRIC participated actively in the Senior Officials Meeting preparatory to the 5^th Session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers Responsible for Water (ICMW), held on 20–21 October 2025 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting brought together representatives of OIC Member States, the OIC General Secretariat, as well as relevant OIC institutions and international organizations to review progress and discuss key initiatives in the water domain.

SESRIC participated in the 6^th Session of the Islamic Conference of Labour Ministers (ICLM), held on 15–16 October 2025 in Doha, State of Qatar, under the theme “Local Experiences, Global Achievements: Success Stories in the Islamic World.” The delegation was led by H.E. Mrs. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and included Dr. Ipek DEDEOGLU.

Within the framework of SESRIC Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB) and in line with Resolution No. 5/50-S&T, adopted by the 50^th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministries (CFM), the Centre, in collaboration with ICESCO and COMSTECH, organised a virtual Capacity Building Workshop on “Sustainable Water Management for OIC Member States,” on 15-16 October 2025.

SESRIC, in coordination with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) General Secretariat, and in collaboration with relevant OIC Subsidiary Organs and Specialised Institutions organised a Workshop on “Cyber Addiction: Best Practices to Protect Children from Violence via Internet in the OIC Member States” on 14-15 October 2025 at its Headquarters in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye. The Workshop was organised within the framework of the implementation of the resolution no. B/48/MCSD-2/2023 adopted during the Second Session of the OIC Ministerial Conference on Social Development, held on 5-6 June 2023 in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.
