SESRIC participated in the 19^th Meeting of the OIC Exchanges Forum (OICEF), held on 23 September 2025. The Forum convened representatives of stock exchanges, central depositories, and capital market authorities from OIC countries, alongside participants from global financial market standard-setters; namely, the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), International Securities Lending Association (ISLA), and International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). The meeting also included firms from the sector, such as brokers, clearing houses and lawyers.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Muhammad Ali TAMIM, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning of the Republic of Iraq, to discuss prospects for enhanced cooperation in the field of socio-economic development.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Namis AL-JUBOURI, Minister of Education of the Republic of Iraq, to explore avenues of cooperation in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with Dr. Dhyaa Awad KADHUM, President of the Commission of Statistics and GIS of the Republic of Iraq, to discuss avenues for deepening cooperation in the field of official statistics.

SESRIC participated in the 25^th Meeting of the COMCEC Trade Working Group, held under the theme of “Developing/Improving Export Strategies in the OIC Member Countries” on 22-23 September 2025, in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye.

SESRIC participated in the 25^th Meeting of the COMCEC Agriculture Cooperation Working Group, held on 22-23 September 2025 in Ankara under the theme of “Strengthening the Resilience of Family Farmers and Small-Scale Producers in the Agriculture and Food Sector in OIC Member Countries”. The meeting brought together representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture of OIC countries, along with representatives from international organizations, including SESRIC.

SESRIC, in collaboration with the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of Türkiye, organised a Study Visit on “Food Waste Management” on 22-23 September 2025 in Ankara.

SESRIC, in collaboration with the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), organised a Regional Training Workshop on the Development of International Trade Statistics to Support Policy in Arab Countries on 22-24 September 2025 in Amman, Jordan.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Atheer Dawood Salman AL-GHURAIRY, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Iraq, to exchange views on areas of mutual interest and potential cooperation.

On the margins of the Third Arab Forum on Tourism Statistics, held in Baghdad on 21-23 September 2025, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Dr. Ahmed Fakak AL-BADRANI, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities of the Republic of Iraq.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK addressed the Third Arab Forum on Tourism Statistics, held in Baghdad, Republic of Iraq, on 21-23 September 2025.

SESRIC participated in the 25^th Meeting of the COMCEC Transport and Communications Working Group, held on 17-18 September 2024 in Ankara, Türkiye, under the theme “Enhancing and Sustaining Rural Accessibility in the OIC Member Countries”. The meeting brought together representatives from the Ministries of Transport and Communications, other national authorities of the OIC countries, as well as international organisations.

SESRIC participated in the 24^th Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Financial Cooperation Working Group, held on 17-18 September 2025 in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye. The meeting focused on the theme “Promoting Sustainable and Environmentally Friendly Islamic Financial Instruments to Combat the Adverse Effects of Climate Change and Natural Disasters in the OIC Member Countries.”

SESRIC organised a Field Visit on “Reuse of Treated Wastewater in Agriculture” on 17 September 2025 at the Afyonkarahisar Domestic Wastewater Irrigation Plant of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) of Türkiye in Afyonkarahisar, Republic of Türkiye.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Sustainable Development Statistics” on 16–17 September 2025. The course brought together 39 statisticians and experts from National Statistical Offices (NSOs) and line Ministries responsible for sustainable development statistics of 19 OIC countries.

SESRIC participated in the 25th Meeting of the COMCEC Tourism Working Group, held under the theme of “Improving the Quality and Sustainability of Heritage Tourism in OIC Countries” on 15-16 September 2025, in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye.

SESRIC participated in the 25th Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Poverty Alleviation Working Group, held on 15-16 September 2025 in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye. The meeting focused on the theme “Decent Housing for the Poor in the OIC Member Countries”.

H.E. Dr. Faed Halid Abd MUSTAFA, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Türkiye, paid a farewell visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC HQs.

SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Unconventional Water Resources Practices to Enhance Agriculture Productivity in Water-Scarce OIC Countries” on 15–18 September 2025 at its headquarters in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye, within the framework of the SESRIC Project on “Promoting Unconventional Water Resources to Enhance Agriculture Productivity in Water-Scarce OIC Member Countries.”
