H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK delivered a keynote speech at the opening of the Workshop on “Empowering Job Seekers: Digital Platform Best Practices from OIC Countries,” taking place on 8-9 July 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As part of its continued efforts to support the advancement of statistical quality assurance practices among OIC countries, SESRIC hosted a high-level Round Table Discussion on “Future Directions and Concrete Steps for Quality Assurance Efforts in the Context of the New Data Ecosystem” on 3 July 2025 at its headquarters in Ankara, Türkiye.

H.E. Ambassador Fahad Bin Assaad Bin Abdulkareem ABUALNASR, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Türkiye, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at the Centre’s Headquarters in Ankara.

On the margins of the Training Workshop on Quality Assurance for Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Ziad ABDALLAH, Director General of the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS), at the SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara.

SESRIC co-hosted a side event on 2 July 2025 in collaboration with the Members and Secretariat of the International Forum on TOSSD (IFT), regional institutions, and international partners. The event took place on 2 July 2025 on the margins of the 4^th International Conference on Financing for Development, held during 30 June-3 July 2025 in Seville, Spain.

SESRIC participated in the Malaysian Research Initiative for National Agenda (MaRINA 3.0) Workshop on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Research Focus Area for 2026–2030. The workshop was organised by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of Malaysia on 1 July 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. The main objective of the workshop was to bring together national and international stakeholders to exchange knowledge and collaboratively chart the future direction of OSH research.

SESRIC, in collaboration with the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat), Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS) and the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT), organized a Training Workshop on “Quality Assurance for Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation” on 1-3 July 2025 at its headquarters in Ankara, Türkiye.

SESRIC conducted a courtesy visit to the Vocational Qualifications Authority of Türkiye (MYK), where a productive meeting was held with President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Necmi İLHAN and Vice President Dr. Mehmet Erdem GÜNEY to identify potential areas for institutional collaboration, particularly in the areas of vocational education, skills development, and mutual-capacity building initiatives.

SESRIC held an expert-level meeting with OSH experts of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of Malaysia on 30 June 2025 prior to the PRE-MARINA Workshop, to explore potential areas of cooperation between the two institutions.

The delegation of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Sub-Regional Office for Central Asia, led by Dr. Ayşegül SELIŞIK, Assistant FAO Representative in Türkiye, and the senior representatives paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK to discuss potential areas of cooperation at the SESRIC Headquarters.

SESRIC paid a courtesy visit to Middle East Technical University and held a meeting with Advisors to the Rector Prof. Dr Ömer DELİALİOĞLU and Dr Taner ZORBAY (Dean of Students) to explore potential collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.

SESRIC held a technical cooperation meeting with the National Institute of Disaster Management - National Disaster Management Authority (NIDM-NDMA) of Pakistan on 26 June 2025 to explore potential areas of cooperation between the two institutions.

SESRIC paid a courtesy visit to Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and held a meeting with Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Abdullah YILDIZ and Prof. Dr. Mustafa ORÇAM as well as Prof. Dr. Hüseyin TUTAR, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to explore potential collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Walid ABDELWAHAB of the IsDB Regional Hub in Türkiye. The meeting aimed to reinforce the long-lasting partnership between the two OIC institutions.

SESRIC and Enstitü Sosyal signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 25 June 2025 at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara. Signed by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and Ms. İpek COŞKUN ARMAĞAN, General Coordinator of Enstitü Sosyal, this MoU aims to establish a framework for cooperation and enhance collaboration between both institutions in areas of mutual interest.

SESRIC participated in the 3^rd International and 16^th National Congress on Agricultural Structures and Irrigation (ICASI-2025), held from 24 to 27 June 2025 in Ankara, Türkiye. The congress was hosted by Ankara University, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM), Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal CHOUDHARY, Coordinator General of the OIC Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), on the sidelines of the 51^st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OIC, held in Istanbul on 21-22 June 2025.

SESRIC and the Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the sidelines of the 51^st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OIC, held in İstanbul on 21-22 June 2025. H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and H.E. Mr. Mohammed Sulaiman ABA AL-KHAYL, Executive Director of ISF signed the MoU on 22 June 2025, towards contributing to the sustainable development in OIC countries.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK engaged in various bilateral meeting with Heads of Delegations from OIC Countries and Institutions on the margins of the 51^st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OIC, held in Istanbul on 21-22 June 2025.

SESRIC delegation led by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK participated in the 51^st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OIC, which was organised under the chairmanship of H.E. Hakan FIDAN, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, in Istanbul, on 21-22 June 2025. The Session, held under the theme “The OIC in a Transforming World,” marks the beginning of Türkiye’s one-year Chairmanship of the OIC.
