SESRIC was pleased to participate in the inaugural Public Finance Forum on "Public Debt Management in a Changing World: Sustainable Strategies to Face Global Economic Challenges", which took place on 18–19 June 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Data Dissemination and Communication Strategies” for the benefit of National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of the OIC countries on 18-19 June 2025 through an online video conferencing platform. The course brought together 93 participants from the NSOs of 32 OIC member countries.

SESRIC welcomed a delegation of six experts and professionals from the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts as well as the Agency for Tourism Promotion (ASPT) of Senegal, accompanied by representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Senegal, at its headquarters in Ankara.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zerrin GÜNGÖR, the President of the Public Officials Ethics Board of the Republic of Türkiye.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Statistical Training Course on “Quality Management in Statistical Processes” on 11-12 June 2025. The course brought together 130 statisticians and experts from National Statistical Offices (NSOs) and relevant authorities of 40 OIC countries.

A fruitful meeting took place between H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and H.E. Ahmet Burak DAĞLIOĞLU, President at the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of Türkiye.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a fruitful meeting with Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL, Rector of Istanbul Technical University, to explore areas of research cooperation.

SESRIC participated in the International Education Congress held in Ankara on 3-4 June 2025. Representing SESRIC, Dr. Ipek Dedeoglu delivered a presentation titled “Education and Skills Development in OIC Member Countries” during the session “New Paradigms in Education: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Culture, and International Experiences.”

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK participated in the Second Global Islamic Economy Summit, held in Istanbul on 30 May-1 June 2025. The event was organised by AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy, in collaboration with the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, the Türkiye Wealth Fund (TWF), the Istanbul Financial Center (IFC), the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), and Ibn Haldun University. The three-day Summit featured panel discussions and workshops.

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) Working Plan 2024-2026, and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC successfully organized a Workshop on “Sharing Best Practices: Youth Employment Projects in OIC Member Countries” on 28–29 May 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

SESRIC held a coordination meeting with the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) at İŞKUR Headquarters to discuss preparations for the 7^th Meeting of the Monitoring and Advisory Committee (MAC) of the OIC-VET Programme, scheduled for the second half of 2025.

SESRIC paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Dr. Kürşat GÖKTÜRK, Vice Rector of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, to explore potential collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.

SESRIC hosted a delegation of 11 young diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, accompanied by representatives from the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at its headquarters in Ankara.

Within the framework of its Central Banks Capacity Building Programme (CB-CaB), SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Exploring the Potential of Central Banks Digital Currencies (CBDC) in the OIC Member Countries” on 27-28 May 2025.

Within the framework of its Tobacco Free Capacity Building Programme (Cotton-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Turkish Green Crescent Society, organised a Training Course on “Effective Communication Strategies for Tobacco Control Advocacy” on 27-28 May 2025 through an online video conference platform.

SESRIC participated in the Workshop on “Water Use Management for Agriculture in OIC Member States,” held at the Headquarters of ICESCO in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, on 26-28 May 2025.

SESRIC paid a courtesy visit to the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) to review previous cooperation activities and explore potential areas of mutual interest for future collaboration and joint efforts in project development for the benefit of OIC countries.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK participated in the International Family Forum, which was organised by the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Türkiye as part of the country's 2025 Year of the Family initiative.

SESRIC delegation headed by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK visited the National Statistics Office (ONS) of Algeria on the sidelines of the 2025 Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meetings in Algiers. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration in the area of statistics.

SESRIC held a virtual technical consultation meeting with the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) on 21 May 2025 to explore potential collaboration on integrating the TQS-Youth module into ongoing national youth surveys in Uganda.
