H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mohammad Jalal Ragheb HAMDAN, Deputy Minister of Transport and Telecommunications of Palestine, on the margins of the 2nd OIC Conference of Transport Ministers (OICCTM) in İstanbul.

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Service Network (OIC-PESNET) Work Plan 2024-2026 and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC organised a Webinar on “Supporting NEET Youth with Effective Guidance and Coaching Methods for Career Success” on 11 February 2026.

The 4^th Meeting of the OIC Vaccine Manufacturers Group (VMG) was held on 9–10 February 2026 at the OIC-COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad, bringing together high-level participants from vaccine manufacturers, regulatory authorities, OIC institutions, and international organizations.

SESRIC participated in the 46^th AlBaraka Symposium, entitled “Righteousness and Benevolence in the Islamic Economy: The Way Forward”, organised by the AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Madinah Region, on 9–11 February 2026 in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Statistical Training Course on “Transport Statistics” for the benefit of 160 participants from National Statistical Offices and relevant national institutions of 24 OIC Countries on 9-10 February 2026 through an online video conferencing platform.

As part of the “Journey to OIC Countries” series, SESRIC welcomed H.E. Moustapha Sokhna DIOP, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to the Republic of Türkiye, together with a delegation from the Embassy and a group of Senegalese students, at its Al-Aqsa Library.

Within the framework of the Diplomacy Capacity Building Programme (Diplomacy-CaB), SESRIC hosted a delegation of diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, accompanied by a representative from the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at its headquarters in Ankara on 4 February 2026.

SESRIC, in collaboration with the Permanent Observer Mission of the OIC to the United Nations, organised a Panel Discussion on “Activating the Ability Dividend: Policies for Socio-Economic Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities in OIC Member Countries” on the sidelines of the 64th Commission for Social Development (CSocD64) on 4 February 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

SESRIC contributed to the High-Level Side Event “Towards Inclusive Social Development within a Framework of Social Justice”, held on 3 February 2026 on the margins of the 64^th Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD64) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

SESRIC contributed to the side event titled Doha Briefing on “Family Wellbeing: A Cornerstone in Social Development”, held on 2 February 2026 on the margins of the 64^th Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD64) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

SESRIC delegation participated in the 64^th Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD64), which was convened on 2-10 February 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The event brought together representatives from UN member states, UN entities, International Organisations, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from different regions worldwide.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Sohaira Zahid SIDDIQUI, Executive Director of the Al-Mujadilah Center & Mosque for Women, on the sidelines of the Second Jadal Summit in Doha, Qatar.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK participated in the Workshop on 'Women, Peace and Security' and the Second Jadal Summit, held on 30 January - 2 February 2026 in Doha, Qatar. The workshop and the summit were organized by the Al-Mujadilah Center & Mosque for Women of the Qatar Foundation. It brought together female scholars, researchers, and practitioners to address contemporary challenges affecting Muslim women.

H.E. Hajiya Imaan SULAIMAN-IBRAHIM, Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, paid an official visit to SESRIC.

SESRIC participated in the High-level event “Knowledge for Enhanced Efforts: Introducing the WDO Cross-Regional Think Tank”, organised by the Women Development Organisation (WDO), serving as the soft-launch of the Digital Legal Library, in a hybrid format in Cairo, Egypt, on 21 January 2026. SESRIC delivered a presentation titled “Advancing Women’s Rights through Data and Collaboration” during the session “High-Level Strategic Dialogue: Partnerships for Impact.”

SESRIC participated in the Sustainable Tourism Forum & Expo, organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) on 21–22 January 2026 in Karachi, Pakistan. The event brought together policymakers, experts, private sector representatives and development partners to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities in advancing sustainable tourism.

A SESRIC delegation, led by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, participated in the 48th Session of the Islamic Commission for Economic and Social Affairs (ICECS) held on 20-22 January 2026 at the OIC HQs. The Session of the ICECS was attended by the delegates from the OIC countries and representatives of the relevant OIC institutions.

SESRIC participated in the UN World Data Forum (UNWDF) Webinar on “Commit to Data” on 20 January 2026, co-organised by GASTAT, PARIS21, and Open Data Watch.

As part of its Statistical Experience Sharing Webinar Series, SESRIC, in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), organised a Webinar on “Social Protection Statistics” on 20 January 2026. Competent experts from The State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, BPS-Indonesia, Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) of Oman, and the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shared their country experiences on social protection. The Webinar was attended by 74 official statisticians and experts from the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) and line ministries of 34 OIC countries.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Statistical Training Course on “SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) Indicators” on 20-21 January 2026 through an online video conferencing platform. The course brought together 225 participants from National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of 22 OIC Member Countries.
