SESRIC participated in the 44^th Meeting of the Sessional Committee of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC). The objective of the meeting was to review and coordinate the activities and programmes of OIC institutions and to report to COMCEC Sessions.

The “High-Level Regional Seminar on Promoting Cancer Awareness and Advocacy Programmes in OIC African Member States” was held in Abuja, Nigeria on 15-16 May 2024 under the auspices of H.E. Senator Oluremi TINUBU, First Lady of Nigeria, and was organised by the @OIC_OCI General Secretariat in collaboration with relevant OIC institutions and international organizations to address the critical challenges of cancer burden in the OIC Countries, particularly in Africa. The seminar aimed to facilitate the sharing of regional best practices and promote coordination mechanisms in cancer registry, control planning, and implementation.

Within the framework of the SESRIC Agriculture and Food Security Capacity Building Programme (Agri-CaB), the Centre, in collaboration with the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) and the National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE) of Pakistan, organised a Training Course on “Genetic Engineering and Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)” on 14-15 May 2024 through an online video conferencing platform.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Amb. Yusron Bahauddin AMBARY, Permanent Representative of Indonesia to the OIC, in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities to expand cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK engaged in a fruitful discussion with H.E. Amb. Tarig ALI BAKHEET, OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural, and Social Affairs, at the OIC Headquarters in Jeddah.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and H.E. Dr. Ahmad Kawesa SENGENDO, OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs, engaged in a fruitful discussion at the OIC Headquarters in Jeddah. The meeting served as a platform to exchange insights on innovative approaches to drive socio-economic development in OIC countries.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Mr. Liaquat Ali WARRAICH, Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the OIC on 12 May 2024 in Jeddah. The meeting served as a platform to reaffirm the strong and continuing partnership between SESRIC and national institutions of Pakistan.

SESRIC and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan formalised their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 8 May 2024 in Ankara.

SESRIC hosted a delegation of young diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine, accompanied by representatives from Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Türkiye, at its Headquarters in Ankara. The delegation was warmly received by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK engaged in a bilateral meeting with H.E. Noni Zurainah binti Haji ISMI, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Türkiye, to strengthen cooperation between SESRIC and relevant national institutions and stakeholders in Brunei.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Yerkebulan SAPIYEV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Türkiye. The meeting aimed to expand cooperation and explore new avenues of collaboration.

SESRIC participated in the 22^nd Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Trade Working Group, held virtually on 6 May 2024. The meeting focused on the theme “Improving Quality Infrastructure in the OIC Member Countries”. It brought together 46 representatives from relevant national public and private institutions of 18 OIC Countries, as well as international and regional organisations.

SESRIC participated in the 22^nd Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Transport and Communications Working Group, held virtually on 6 May 2024. The meeting focused on the theme “Developing Intelligent Transportation Systems in OIC Member Countries”. It brought together relevant representatives from transport and communications authorities of the OIC countries and relevant OIC institutions.

The SESRIC delegation, led by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, attended the 15th Session of the Islamic Summit Conference in Banjul which was held under the theme “Enhancing Unity and Solidarity through Dialogue for Sustainable Development”. The SESRIC delegation engaged in strategic discussions and fostered partnerships that support the socio-economic development of the OIC Member Countries.

Ahead of the OIC Banjul Summit, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Director General of SESRIC, held a meeting with H.E. Nyakassi M.B. SANYANG, Statistician General of the Gambia Bureau of Statistics (GBOS). The meeting aimed to strengthen ongoing collaborative efforts between the two esteemed institutions in the field of statistical research and analysis.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Haddy Jatou SEY, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) of Gambia. The meeting aimed to explore possible cooperation areas between SESRIC and MoBSE towards contributing to the capacity development in education sector of Gambia.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Buah SAIDY, Governor of the Central Bank of The Gambia (CBG) ahead of the OIC Banjul Summit. The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation between the two institutions and harness collective expertise towards the advancement of economic and financial knowledge in Gambia.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Dr. Ahmadou Lamin SAMATEH, Minister of Health of The Gambia ahead of the OIC Banjul Summit. The meeting aimed to identify areas of possible collaboration between SESRIC and Ministry of Health (MoH) of Gambia.

A delegation from SESRIC participated in the inauguration of the "ICDT Invest Days Gambia." The event, attended by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK convened in Banjul, The Gambia, on the sidelins of the 15^th Session of the OIC Summit Conference, held on 04-05 May 2024.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Demba SABALLY, Minister of Agriculture of The Gambia. The meeting, held on 2^nd May 2024 ahead of OIC Banjul Summit, aimed to fortify collaboration in the agricultural sector between SESRIC and The Gambia.
