H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK exchanged views with Mariam A. KHAN, Representative for Türkiye and Country Director for Azerbaijan at UNFPA in Türkiye, at SESRIC HQs.

SESRIC participated in the 7^th Meeting of the Lead Country Coordinators for the OIC Strategic Health Programme of Action (SHPA) and also the 15^th Meeting of the OIC Steering Committee on Health (SCH) held at the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah on 10 and 11 September, respectively.

The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) and Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in collaboration with SESRIC, United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS), and International Monetary Fund (IMF), organised a Regional Workshop on “Implementing 2025 SNA and Compiling Digital Supply and Use Tables” on 9-11 September 2025 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK addressed the Symposium on "Empowering Youth in the OIC Member States through Video Games and Social Media: Opportunities and Challenges," organised by OIC, UNA-OIC and the Ministry of Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as the Chair of the 5^th Session of ICYSM, in Jeddah on 4 September 2025.

The OIC General Secretariat and the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), in coordination with SESRIC and other relevant OIC organs and institutions, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Chair of the Fifth Session of the Islamic Conference on Youth and Sports Ministers), organised a Symposium on “Empowering Youth in Member States Through Video Games and Social Media: Opportunities and Challenges” on 4 September 2025. The Symposium was conducted in a hybrid format at the Headquarters of the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Amadou Moustapha Ndieck SARRE, Minister of Vocational Training of Senegal on 2 September 2025 in Dakar.

On the occasion of SESRIC’s commemoration ceremony of Dakar as the OIC City of Tourism 2025, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK signed a MoU with H.E. Mountaga DIAO, the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts of Senegal on 2 September 2025 towards contributing to the advancement of tourism sector in Senegal as a promising destination.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Abdou DIOUF, Director General of the National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSAD) of Senegal on 2 September 2025 in Dakar.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ms. Karima BOUNEMRA, Director of the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) on 2 September 2025 in Dakar.

Within the framework of the Diplomacy Capacity Building Programme (Diplomacy-CaB), SESRIC hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, accompanied by a representative from the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at its headquarters in Ankara on 2 September 2025.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Statistical Training Course on “SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) Indicators” on 2-3 September 2025. The course gathered 78 experts from National Statistical Offices (NSOs) and relevant institutions of 26 OIC Member Countries.

SESRIC participated in the OIC High-Level Expert Meeting on Advancing the Food Security Reserve System, Strategic Agricultural Commodities, and Finalizing the Strategic Plan for Ensuring Food Security in OIC Member States held from September 1–3, 2024, in Doha, Qatar. The event was jointly organised by the Ministry of Municipality of the State of Qatar, Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), and the OIC General Secretariat.

SESRIC organised a commemoration ceremony for Dakar as the selected OIC City of Tourism for 2025 on the sidelines of the Africa Food Systems (AFS) Forum Summit, held in Dakar on 31 August-5 September 2025.
