Within the framework of SESRIC Project “Promoting Gastronomy Tourism for the Destination Senegal”, which has been successfully listed for funding by the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) under the 12th Call for Project Proposals, the Centre organised a Workshop on “Enhancing the PPPs in Gastronomy Tourism in Senegal” on 1-3 September 2025 in Dakar, Senegal.

SESRIC participated in the 4^th Kazan Global Youth Summit held on 28–29 August 2025, in Kazan, in partnership with the Tatarstan government, the Russian government, Kazan Federal University, the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), as well as other institutions. The Summit brought together more than 200 delegates from 45 countries, including ministers, diplomats, academics, media experts, entrepreneurs, and youth leaders.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Statistical Training Course on “Balance of Payments and International Investment Position” on 26–27 August 2025. The course brought together statisticians and experts from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics and other national authorities of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Within the framework of SESRIC Palestine National Institutions Capacity Building Programme (PALESTINE-CaB) as well as its Diplomacy Capacity Building Programme (Diplomacy-CaB), the Centre, in collaboration with the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and the Palestinian National School of Administration (PNSA), organised a Training Course on “Advanced Negotiation Techniques and Diplomatic Correspondence” on 26-27 August 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Labour Statistics” on 25-26 August 2025 in Bakau, The Gambia. The course was attended by 18 participants from the Gambia Bureau of Statistics (GBOS).

SESRIC, as the Executing Organ of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-VET), is hosting a series of OIC-VET Consultative Meetings to draft the ten-year OIC TVET Strategic Roadmap 2026-2035.

Within the framework of the OIC-VET Programme and SESRIC project titled “Developing an Effective Roadmap for Facilitating Digital Transition in National VET Systems in OIC Member Countries”, funded by the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the OIC (COMCEC) under its 12^th Call for Project Proposals, SESRIC successfully organised an Online Working Group Meeting on “Facilitating Digital Transition of National VET Systems in OIC Countries” on 19-20 August 2025.

A productive meeting took place between H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and H.E. Amb. Saeed Thani Hareb Juma AL DHAHERI, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Türkiye.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Euphrasie Kouassi YAO, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, at the SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara.

Within the framework of the resolution No. 1/7-ICHM/4 of the 7^th Session of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers, as well as the relevant resolution of Science and Technology and Innovation, adopted at the 51^st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, held in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, on 21-22 June 2025, SESRIC and the General Secretariat of the OIC jointly organised the periodic Training Session on “Content Management and Use of the OIC Health Portal” on 12 August 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

SESRIC held a meeting with a delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Regional Hub in Türkiye, together with field representatives in Iran and Pakistan, at its headquarters in Ankara on 8 August 2025.

H.E. Abdunur Muhammad SEKINDI, Director General of the Science & Technology Department at the OIC General Secretariat, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC HQs.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with Prof. Dr. Erol ÖZVAR, President of the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye (YÖK). She extended her best wishes for his second term as President of YÖK.

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) Working Plan 2024-2026 and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC organized a Training Course on “Developing an Effective Labour Market Information System (LMIS)” on 5-6 August 2025, in collaboration with the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills of Morocco (ANAPEC).

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Training Course on “SDG 1 (No Poverty) Indicators” on 5-6 August 2025, with the participation of 81 experts from National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of 28 OIC countries.

SESRIC participated in the ASEAN Safety and Health Workers Summit 2025, convened under the theme “Empowering Inclusivity and Sustainability for a Resilient Workforce”. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of Malaysia on 4–5 August 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

SESRIC hosted a technical coordination meeting at its HQs. 

At the opening, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK emphasized the need for strategic and coordinated investment to address structural health gaps across OIC countries. 

H.E. Dr. Tasnim ATATRAH, the Representative of WHO to the Country Office in Türkiye, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC HQs to explore ways to strengthen cooperation between SESRIC and WHO, specifically in the area of health.

H.E. Amb. Ghassan MOALLEM, Ambassador of Lebanon to Türkiye, paid a farewell visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure.

Within the framework of its Occupational Safety and Health Capacity Building Programme (OSH-CaB), SESRIC organised a Webinar on “Safe Work in Construction Industry” in collaboration with the Directorate General of Occupational Safety and Health (DGOSH) of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Türkiye, on 29 July 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.
