H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Grebe RANDA, Minister of State for Women's Affairs of the State of Libya, on the margins of the 9th Session of the OIC Ministerial Conference on Women in Islamabad.

SESRIC held an expert-level online meeting with the Water and Amelioration Scientific Research Institute (SMETI) of the Republic of Azerbaijan to follow up on the implementation of the MoU previously signed between the two institutions and to discuss future areas of cooperation.

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Service Network (OIC-PESNET) Work Plan 2024-2026 and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC organised a Webinar on “Labour Migration Systems: Strategies for Public and Private Sectors” on 09 July 2026.

The Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), in collaboration with SESRIC, organised an “Online Workshop on Destination Marketing Strategies for emerging Markets within the OIC region” on 8-9 July 2026.

SESRIC participated virtually in the Open Session of the 27^th ASEAN-OSHNET Coordination Board Meeting (CBM-27) and the 13^th ASEAN-OSHNET Conference (13^th AOC), held on 8 July 2026 in Da Nang City, Viet Nam.

SESRIC participated in the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) 2026, held at the UN Headquarters in New York under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The forum focused on innovative and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a sustainable future for all. The Forum conducted in-depth reviews of SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11 and 17 and contributed to preparations for the 2027 SDG Summit.

SESRIC and the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara to enhance their cooperation efforts.

H.E. Nusura TIPERU, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the Republic of Türkiye, and Prof. Ismail Simbwa GYAGENDA, Rector of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC’s Headquarters in Ankara.

SESRIC hosted the second session of its SESRIC Conversations series on “Digital Addiction and Youth Mental Health” on 1 July 2026, organised in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Türkiye Country Office.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK addressed the commemoration of the United Nations World Environment Day, held on 29 June 2026 at the premises of the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah.

A SESRIC delegation, headed by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, participated in Saudi Water Week 2026, held in Jeddah, which served as a global platform for advancing dialogue on water security, climate adaptation, innovation, and sustainable water resources management.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Muhammad Mueen WATTOO, Federal Minister for Water Resources of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on 28 June 2026, on the sidelines of Saudi Water Week 2026 in Jeddah.

SESRIC participated in the Türkiye Education Technologies Summit (TETZ 2026), held on 26–28 June 2026 in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye. Organised under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye, the summit brought together policymakers, international organisations, academia, technology companies, startups, educators, and innovators to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in the future of education.

H.E. Amb. Hazem Issam AL-KHATIB AL-TAMIMI, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Ankara, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC Headquarters.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mehmet ARABACI, the newly appointed President of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). She extended her congratulations on his recent appointment and wished him success in his new role.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Statistical Training Course on “SDG 5 Indicators” on 23–24 June 2026 through an online video conferencing platform, in collaboration with the Department of Statistics of Malaysia (DOSM).

SESRIC participated in the 10^th Coordination Committee Meeting on Tourism, held on 22 June 2026 in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, and organized by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the OIC General Secretariat.
